Apple Highlights New In-store Youth Workshops

· by · News

Apple has several new workshops for kids that it’s planning to offer through its own retail locations. The Apple Web site is now highlighting learning programs geared towards families and schools, along with the upcoming Apple Camp summer workshops.

The family-based youth workshops will show kids how to use the iLife application suite to make their own music and create photo albums, teach Mac skills, and more. As part of the education-based workshops, teachers can schedule field trips where students can work on projects, show off their iMovie projects, and use the store as their own work center.

Apple will also host its Apple Camp program again this summer for kids ages 8 through 12. Attendees will learn how to use the iLife and iWork application suites for their creative projects, how to make their own movie DVDs, and more.

Parents and teachers can learn more about Apple’s workshops for kids at the Apple Retail Store Web site.
