An almost certainly it will be iOS device. The email says

“We have something you really have to see. And Touch”

I hate to nitpick (oh, who am I kidding, I love to nitpick), but your graphic looks like a snow globe, not a crystal ball. I don’t think a snow globe sends the message you’re going for. raspberry

Something you want to see and touch…..Well that is obvious. looking at the promo the Calendar icon is very sharp so they are pushing the ren retina display.

Hi Lee,

OK - we’ve all seen the invitation for the March 7 unveiling by now.  So while I admit that I might be reading too much into this, we all know that EVERYTHING Apple does is planned down to the most minute detail.  Including (and especially) the invitation.  Meaning that IMO, the three app icons on the bottom of the iPad were chosen for a reason - OK, maybe three reasons.

And what is the first one?  Maps.  Is this a subtle signal that Apple is gonna launch its own maps program?!

The second of course is the calendar with the March 7 date, which needs no explanation as to its purpose.  The third app?  Keynote.  Is this a sneaky Apple tipoff that Powerpoint (and the entire Office suite) is coming too?  I hope so!

Did anyone catch the news that Apple sent out its announcement while Eric Schmidt was on stage at MWC?

From betanews:

Mashable editor Lance Ulanoff tweeted this morning: “Eric Schmidt is on stage at #MWC talking global tech gap, blissfully unaware of the Apple news that just blotted out the sun. #iPad”.

Does anyone doubt Apple was well aware of the timing of Schmidt’s presentation?  How’s that for a slap in the face?

Remember when Steve Jobs said that he was going to go nuclear on Google?

Yup.  And check this out - slashgear even predicted (!) Aplle would send out the invitation to iPad3 while Schmidt was on stage!  Wow!

Good call SlashGear.
