Apple updated iTunes to version 10.5.2 on Monday. The new version includes “several improvements for iTunes Match,” the company’s iCloud-powered music storage and streaming solution. The update also, “fixes an audio distortion problem when playing or importing certain CDs.”

The update is a 16.6MB download in Lion through Software Update. Apple has added the update to its Downloads site, but that currently resolves to the 10.5.1 download. The update is, however, available at the iTunes download page.
iTunes for Windows was also updated to version 10.5.2.
