Apple Posts Tiger Security Update 2009-002

· by · Product News

Along with its Leopard and Safari updates, Apple released Security Update 2009-002 for Mac OS X 10.4.11 users late on Tuesday.

The security update addressed potential security flaws in Apache, ATS, BIND, CoreGraphics, Cscope, CUPS, disk images, enscript, Flash Player, Help Viewer, IPSec, and more. In many cases, the flaws could allow someone to crash applications or run arbitrary code when users visit maliciously crafted Web sites or open maliciously crafted PDF or Flash files.

Security Update 2009-002 for Tiger users is available via Apple's Software Update application, or as downloadable installers for Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
