Apple Releases Apple TV 4.4.3, Details Are Slim

· by · Apple TV

Apple updated the software that runs Apple TV up to 4.4.3 Thursday, though the update notification is shy on details. That said, it’s likely a maintenance release to address bug fixes, and it might improve support for the company’s iTunes Match, which went live on Monday.

The software can be downloaded through the Apple TV itself under Settings.

Apple TV runs a version of iOS, but Apple has chosen to keep a separate version numbering system for the device. Version 4.4 was released when iOS 5 was released for iPhone and iPad in October.

Apple hasn’t yet added the update to its Support site. When it does, we should have some details about the content of the release.
