Apple Releases Developer Betas of iOS, iTunes, Apple TV

· by · News

Apple released new beta versions of iOS 5 (beta 7), iTunes 10.5 (beta 7), and Apple TV Software (beta 6) to developers on Wednesday. The new beta releases include various bug fixes, and the iOS 5 beta 7 for the software development kit (SDK) include tweaks to developer APIs.

iOS 5 is scheduled for release sometime this fall. The changes from beta to beta have gotten more focused, which suggests the company could be getting close to GM release and release to consumers.

That said, Apple’s track record is to not release new versions of iOS until it is ready, so don’t read too much into that.
