iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2

Only two days after the release of iOS 5.0.1 Beta 1, Apple has seeded a second beta of the iPhone operating software, build 9A404, to developers.

The update is available for all iOS 5-compatible devices and can be updated over-the-air by users who have the first 5.0.1 Beta installed.

As TMO reported previously, many developers have seen significantly improved battery life with the new software and it is believed that the battery life issues that have plagued iOS 5 and iPhone 4S users may be resolved by the update once it becomes available.

Apple’s rapid release schedule for this update highlights the company’s determination to resolve iOS battery issues and end the critical discussion that has surrounded the product since its launch.
