Apple Releases iPhone Configuration Utility Update

Apple released iPhone Configuration Utility 3.2 for Mac OS X and Windows on Tuesday, but didn’t include any information detailing what the update changes or improves.

iPhone Configuration Utility is a tool for companies that need to manage multiple iOS devices. It creates, manages and installs configuration profiles for iOS devices, tracks and installs authorized apps and provisioning profiles, and captures device console logs.

iPhone 4: Now with more managability, IT kids!

It departments can use the utility to enforce company security policies on iOS devices, install VPN settings for users, bulk-manage network and email account settings, and more.

iPhone Configuration Utility 3.2 is available as a free download for Mac and Windows users at the Apple Support Web site, and as an update via Apple’s Software Update application.
