Dang. No mention of added compatibility with 3rd party Bluetooth adapters. Some news/rumors blog had indicated that 10.5.7 would include such enhancements. Recently, I was careless enough to buy a RocketFish Bluetooth 2 dongle for my Mac Pro, without first checking to see if it listed Mac compatibility on the packaging. frown

I was hoping that this update would install the needed drivers for said Bluetooth dongle, which I need to be able to actually put the Motorola Bluetooth 2 stereo headphones I recently bought, to good any good use.

Well, I’ll install the update and hopefully it includes a super-secret Bluetooth driver update. In case it doesn’t, does anybody know where I can get Mac OS X compatible drivers for a Rocketfish RF-FLBTAD?

I’m unable to install the update. It stalls at about 19% downloaded. I noticed in the Apple Discussions, folks are having some trouble with this update.

I had a problem after the d/l reboot.  The screen stuck on installing the script.  I left it alone for about 20 minutes before shutting the iMac down.  After the reboot I didn’t another screen about installing the update.  A quick peek in About this Mac shows 10.5.7.  I hope I got it all ... LOL

Download the Combined Update from the Apple web site, and save it.  When your Mac gets a little glitchy, you can use it to reinstall, and a whole bunch of problems go away.

http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_7_Combo_Update

Installed on a 7 year old G4, a 3 year old Mac Mini and a 2 month old Nehalem Quad Core.

Without a glitch. I hope people realize the installer does go to a blue screen when it’s running the Disk Utility in the background between the first and second reboots. DO NOT INTERRUPT IT.

I installed OS 10.5.7 on a desktop, Mac Pro.
The mail doesn’t work any longer.

Plenty of ram, plenty of storage space.

I use a pop mail account and the mail starts to load then hangs, and sometimes freezes the machine.  Safari hangs also.

Any suggestions?

thank you.

My Mail also not working anymore. I have 4 pop accounts setup. I tried moved the ~/Library/Mail to some place and let the system recreate that. It still has my 4 Pop account setup, all old message are gone, but still hangs the exact same way.
