Apple released Mac OS X 10.6.5 Wednesday afternoon, as expected, an update that paves the way for iOS 4.2, which is expected on Friday. • Improves performance for users bound to an Active Directory domain.
  • Improves reliability of Ethernet connections.
  • Systems with a Mac Pro RAID Card (Early 2009) installed can now be put to sleep. For more information, see Mac Pro RAID Card (Early 2009): Enabling system sleep.

Can anyone point me to the actual 10.6.5 combo download page on Apple’s website ?

I want to grab the Combo update, but I just can’t find the Combo download page on Apple’s site….

Too many macs to update….

This link should get you there:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4250, which provides a link to the combo update.

Thanks for replying.
The “About the Mac OS X v10.6.5 Update” page doesn’t seem to point to the actual 10.6.5 Combo Update, it just take me to the Support Downloads Page which isn’t showing the 10.6.5 Combo Update. (Yet…..)

I am a little hesitant downloading this because I know there was problems with this stuff in the past (iTunes crash or bad reliability etc.) is there any problems with 10.6.5? Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I have got a bandwidth limit
PS: I have some other good APPS from Aneesoft want to recommend. Maybe someone will like it.

Off topic,
Last friday’s Deal Brother Ad/article for “current generation” Ipod Touch $149.00 is misleading or at worst bait and switch. The refurb is for the previous generation. The Deal Brothers ads are typically helpful and reputable so I would hope someone here might fix this error promptly.

So glad they fixed the Dictionary/Wikipedia glitch.  It was driving me nuts!

Hey Dawg,

The refurb deals at Apple get updated by Apple according to availability, and sometimes what’s posted goes fast (especially after The Deal Brothers and we link to it). That’s one reason The Deal Brothers (and TMO) link to the refurb page as a whole, rather than individual refurb listings.

Shoot me a note at my contact e-mail if you have any other questions, concerns, or thoughts on this.

Back to Mac OS X 10.6.5. In fact, I think I’ll install it now.

No problems so far!

Well Apple finally posted the Combo update, and 2 hours later I’ve got a 1.02Gb Combo Update to install…....................................

But first: backup, check the OS HDD, unplug all external USB devices and install.

Now we wait for iOS 4.2 for the iPad

Installed it last night. No problems so far.

10.6.5 also seems to have fixed the text zoom glitch that was showing up in my Firefox and Thunderbird.  WooHoo!

Heh, just a present for gamers. If Lineage 3 needs new version of Mac OS, they’ll become milyarders.

Agitated Mac User

Hey,

if you play WoW and are concerned about applying a new and large Mac OS X patch, i would read on. I applied this patch on my Macbook and after word the graphics in-game in WoW are unplayable. If Mac doesn’t fix this I will be temporarily cancelling my subscription.

And then friendly people at Mac, I will be building a desktop to get my WoW fix. I used your equipment for portable computing while I was just in college and it was awesome for what it was worth. But I need my WoW-crack unfortunately, and well. I work in IT now, so I see enough of every computer every day that I don;t need to spend too much money on one myself for home. So, while these are awesome tools for multimedia and school and all that. I won;t be purchasing another one.
