Apple Remote App Adds iPad Support

Apple released Remote 2.0 on Tuesday, adding iPad and Retina Display support to the iTunes and Apple TV remote control app.


Remote 2 Supports AirPlay-compatible speakers

Version 2.0 also added support for controlling iTunes and Apple TV shared libraries from your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, added support for iTunes 10 along with the second generation Apple TV, can control AirPlay-compatible devices and change volume settings individually for multiple speaker sets, lets users build Genius Playlists, fixed several bugs, and more.

Remote 2.0 is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
