Apple has begun sending some customers coupons for free iTunes movie rentals. 9to5Mac received word from readers who had received the coupon, which is good for any of the 8,500 movies Apple is offering for digital rental through the iTunes Store.
The e-mail promotion isn’t hitting everyone, at least not yet, and there’s no indication who Apple is targeting with the offer. As with any normal rental, users have 30 days to start watching the movie, and then 24 hours to finish it, once started.
