Apple Store App Adds Build-to-order Mac Support

Apple released Apple Store 1.3 for the iPhone and iPod touch on Monday. The updated version of the mobile Apple Store app added support for ordering custom configuration Macs, and improved the in-store mode.

Version 1.3 includes what Apple is calling an enhanced in-store mode that “lets you get help and support quickly when you’re at an Apple Retail Store.”

Shoppers can use the Apple Store app check out products ahead of visiting one of the company’s retail stores, can order products for delivery or reserve products for in-store pickup, set Genius Bar appointments, and sign up for workshops and other in-store events.

Apple Store 1.3 is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.

Is that pic accurate?  $250 for a 100mHz bump?  I know Apple is a premium retailer, but come ON now.  This is getting out of hand.
