Apple's online store went offline Tuesday morning and was replaced with the familiar "We'll be back soon" notice. The online tease comes only hours after the company hosted its fourth quarter earnings report sprinkled with hints that new products are on the way.
Apple executives said that the company was expecting an unusually high increase in air freight costs for the quarter, and that it wouldn't be related to the iPhone. That led many to speculate that Apple was planning to fly new products to retailers before the end of the year.
The company also said that it has "exciting new products in the pipeline," which helped fuel predictions of new Macs, a new multi-touch mouse, and the release of the company's fabled tablet computer.
Be sure to check back with The Mac Observer for coverage of any potential product announcements from Apple.

Hey just follow AppleStoreCheck on Twitter and be the first to know!
The increased freight costs mean a big screen TV, probably with a Mac built-in. I’d guess 40”, 46”, and 55”. You heard it here first.
As crazy as it sounds I could see that as a logical variation on the AppleTV
Wow it’s been down a long time
That huge air freight bill might be to ship a new online store from China.
21” and 27” iMac, included wireless keyboard and multi-touch mouse:

new macbooks and mini as well.
I am very interested in the new Magic Mouse.
Maybe I will get one of the new iMacs. Last Friday my G4 MDD croaked. I unplugged it and set it aside so that I could clean and rearrange the office. When I plugged it back in she started sparking and smoking. After unplugging I took it outside and opened it up, but could not see any damage, probably inside the power supply. I actually have a spare power supply for it, Apple sent me one years ago and it was supposed to fix the “wind tunnel.” I will mess with it in a few days and hope that the arcing did not damage the motherboard. Fortunately I did not have files on the G4 that were not backed-up.
Interesting that the front page got updated but the Store is still down. If I had to hazard a guess I’d suspect something is not working.
Or maybe it’s all an elaborate hoax and Jonathan Ive is hiding in the attic.
Hmmm, that new Mac Mini Server looks interesting as a replacement for my fried G4 MDD.
