Apple Store Offline Twice in 12 Hours

Apple’s Web-based store went offline Wednesday morning for the second time in several hours. The earlier downtime happened late Tuesday night and didn’t see the introduction of any new products.

Apple's familiar store update sign

The first offline stretch seemed to be maintenance downtime, and with Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference set to kick off on June 11, it doesn’t seem likely the company is about to release new products such as an updated MacBook Pro or Mac Pro tower. Instead, those announcements would more likely come during the WWDC keynote presentation.

Of course, Apple releases updates and new products on its own schedule, so should the company surprise us with new gear today we’ll be sure to let you know.

Update: It looks like the only change after the online store came back up are product highlights for Father’s Day.
