Apple to Host Summer Film Making Classes for Kids

· by · News

As part of Apple Camp this summer, kids will be able to participate in a series of workshops where they learn how to use their Macs to make their own films. Students will get to make their own movie during the three-day camp, and their films will be shown during the Apple Camp Film Festival.

Apple Film Camp

The film camps will be hosted at local Apple Stores, and Apple will have Macs and other tools ready for kids to use, although the company is recommending students bring their own Mac, video camera and earphones. Students will get to use GarageBand to make their soundtracks, and will edit their movies in iMovie.

Participants must be between the ages of 8 and 12, and accompanied by a parent or guardian. The film sessions are free, and students can sign up at the Apple website.
