Apple’s Grand Central Store May Open for Black Friday

Apple’s Grand Central store in New York is apparently nearing completion and may open in time for black Friday — the day after the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. Anonymous sources claim Apple plans to announce the grand opening date on Tuesday, and it could open as early as this Friday, according to 9to5 Mac.

Apple struck a deal for the Grand Central Terminal location in July, landing 23,000 square feet of space for its new store. That makes the Grand Central location one of Apple’s largest stores in the world once it opens.

The Regent Street location in London is currently the largest Apple Store at 25,000 square feet, and Covent Garden is 24,000 square feet.

Apple hasn’t officially announced the opening date for the Grand Central store, although Friday would make for a great launch date since it also kicks off the holiday buying season and is one of the biggest shopping days in the U.S.
