Atlona Technologies introduced its AT-DP200 DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter on Wednesday. The adapter lets computers with a DVI video port use Apple's Mini DisplayPort-based 24-inch Cinema Display.

The AT-DP200 DVI to Mini DisplayPort adapter
The AT-DP200 maintains HDCP compatibility, supports 1920x1200 and 1280x800 resolutions, and is compatible with all Macs sporting a DVI video port including the MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and Mac mini.
The AT-DP200 will ship on September 29 and is priced at US$179.

Price point is way too high unfortunately. With 22” monitors coming down to that price range, I don’t think many will be anxious to buy yet another converter for this single purpose. Maybe at $99, but $180 is a bit steep.
Agree totally. Things change all too fast to invest another $180 in just a converter. Sorry guys. Thumbs down on this one.
Will someone please clarify.
Apple sells a $29 MiniDisplyPort to DVI adaptor.

How is this unit different? Why the box/power supply/ etc. isn’t it just a plug adaptor?
This one is the other way around. The Apple one lets a DVI monitor plug into a Mac with MiniDisplayPort. This one lets a monitor with MiniDisplayPort plug into a computer with DVI output.
I agree that $180 is too steep.
