Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone 4 on June 15, and now Best Buy plans on offering its own pre-order program, too. The new version of Apple’s combination iPod and smartphone will be available on Thursday, June 24.
Apple introduced the iPhone 4 during the company’s keynote presentation at its World Wide Developer Conference on June 7.
The new iPhone model will include Apple’s A4 processor, a higher resolution display, longer battery life, a built-in 5 megapixel camera that supports HD video capture, a front-facing camera for video calls, 802.11n Wi-Fi support, and built-in gyroscope and digital compass. It also sports a redesigned form factor that’s almost 25 percent thinner than the iPhone 3GS and includes a glass front and back.
iPhone 4 pre-orders from Best Buy can be placed Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile locations in the U.S. The iPhone 4 will be available in black or white, and is priced at US$199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model.
