Blizzard Announces World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Collector’s Edition

· by · Games

Blizzard Entertainment announced Wednesday the Collector’s Edition of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the upcoming expansion pack for the massively popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMO).

The limited-release Collector’s Edition will contain an exclusive in-game pet, a book of art, a behind-the-scenes DVD, the soundtrack for the game, a Cataclysm-themed mousepad, and a 60-card starter deck for the WoW Trading Card Game.

Cataclysm was announced in 2009, and a release date for the expansion has not yet been announced. However, Blizzard has generally waited until the game is a few months out before announcing the Collector’s Edition, and today’s announcement could indicate the company is closer to releasing the game.

The Collector’s Edition will be priced at US$79.99, and it is available for pre-order at Amazon. The regular version of the expansion is priced at $39.99.

Would be cool if u could get a cool mount this time instead of pet for that price is way to high

It technically IS a bargain, but for someone who desires to only play the game it’s worthless aside from a vanity pet.
