Box.net rolled out a new update for its iPhone and iPad app on Thursday that added support for iOS 4.2’s AirPrint feature along with support for displaying video out via Apple’s VGA Dock adapter.
The Box.net service offers cloud-based storage and online collaboration tools, and is designed to scale well for enterprise-level use. The Box.net app gives users mobile access to their online account, along with access to their files.

Along with the ability to print documents wirelessly over local networks to AirPrint-ready devices, and the ability to display content on external video devices, the Box.net update added new security features, too.
The update added the ability to require a passcode to access the application, added support for single sign-on services via Google Apps and PingFederate, and the ability to set auto-logout times.
Box.net 2.4 is free and available for download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store. The Box.net service is available in free and paid versions.
