C Spire Wireless was previously named Cellular South, and offers a CDMA-based cell network, just like Verizon and Sprint. The company provides cell service to customers in Mississippi, and parts of Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.

The iPhone 4S is currently available in the U.S. on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. AT&T offers a GSM-based wireless network, while Verizon and Sprint use CDMA technology.

Apple began offering the iPhone 4S on October 14, and managed to sell over 4 million units during the first three days of availability. The company also reported selling 17.07 million iPhones during its fourth fiscal quarter — before the iPhone 4S was released.

C Spire Wireless hasn’t announced pricing plans for its iPhone customers yet, although it does offer packages with unlimited data just like Sprint.

Apple to TMobile:  F*** you.

Fine print is painful

Not so unlimited.
I’m a current CSpire customer who was glad to see this news.
I have an unlimited data / voice plan.
There’s discussion in CSpire’s forum on the iPhone which points out that after an unspecified level data will be throttled *unless* you pony up an extra $30 for access to “High Speed Data”.
There is also a new ability to opt in and automatically buy extra buckets of data.
This doesn’t read as unlimited to me.
Ugh.

Thanks for the head-up: I checked and it looks like the carrier party’s just getting started and there’s going to be more (regional) U.S. carriers: Claro in Puerto Rico (previously branded as Verizon, with roughly 1M of the island’s 2.7M cell subscribers), also has a page on their site listing the iPhone 4S as ‘Coming Soon.’
