Case Maker Shows Off New iPods Ahead of Media Event

iPod case maker Cygnett began bragging about its new iPod touch and iPod nano cases Wednesday morning -- cases that show off iPod models Apple hasn't introduced yet. According to the company, both new iPod models will sport built-in cameras, just like the rumor mill has been saying for the past few days.

The Cygnett company blog stated "Apple is about to go live at its annual September press event in San Francisco, where they are set to launch a variety of new products to the public... The biggest news out of the event is that Apple are to release an updated range of iPod models -- most specifically the iPod touch G3 and the iPod nano G5. To go along with the updated software and hardware, both of these iPods now have built-in cameras."

Assuming the images are accurate, both the iPod touch and iPod nano will keep their familiar form factor.

Apple will be hosting a music-related media event later this morning where the company is expected to unveil updated iPod models. So far, the company has been tight-lipped about what it will introduce, but may have tipped its hand earlier in the morning when it lowered the prices for the iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod classic.

Apple's media event is scheduled to kick off at 10AM pacific time in San Francisco. The Mac Observer will be on location providing live coverage of the event.
