China iPad Launch Set for Sept 17

Apple’s Wi-Fi only iPad is set for a Friday, September 17, launch in China.

The Wi-Fi iPad will set customers back CNY3988 for the 16GB model, CNY4788 for the 32GB model, and CNY5588 for the 644GB model. The multimedia tablet will be available at China’s Apple Retail locations as well as some authorized reseller locations.

There’s no word yet on when to expect the iPad with 3G wireless support to hit store shelves in China.

Funny that Apple chooses to launch in China before it does the same in Scandinavia. Apple has not even set a date.
