Class-Action Suit Against Apple for Alleged Labor Violations

Apple is once again being sued, but this time it's by former employees claiming violations of the California Labor Code, particularly breaks and timely final paychecks. According to court documents cited at TechCrunch, plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages.

Originally the case was brought against Apple in 2011 by four employees from both retail and corporate locations. Yesterday the case received class action status, expanding the affected number of current and former employees to 20,000 or more.

There is no timeline for when the case will come to trial, presumably the new class-action status will delay it further since now the pool has expanded from four former employees to any current or former Apple employee from December 2007 until "the time of the trial."
