Freeverse on Thursday released version 1.06 of its turn-based strategy game Commander Europe at War, adding cross-platform multiplayer capability for Mac and Windows opponents as well as a variety of bug fixes and performance improvements.

Commander Europe at War covers much of the European theater of World War II and features six scenarios, including the D Day Normandy invasion and Barbossa. Players take control of a nation and research more than 50 inventions spread across five technology areas, recruit and attach historical commanders to their units, and more. Multiplayer action is available via e-mail, hotseat, or the Internet.
