CrashPlan Adds Twitter Notification Support

· by · Product News

Code 42 announced the immediate availability of an updated version of CrashPlan with support for Twitter notifications and alerts. CrashPlan is an automated online data backup service for personal and business use.

CrashPlan users can now receive notifications via Twitter when their backups are complete and whether or not there were any problems with the backup process. Notifications are sent as direct messages so other Twitter users won't see them, and users can set how often they receive notifications.

CrashPlan is free for personal use. CrashPlan+ adds real-time backups, unlimited versioning and Web restore and is priced at US$59.99. Both versions are available for download at the Code 42 Web site.
