Dock Gone Locks Down Hidden Docks

· by · Product News

Old Jewel Software announced the immediate availability of Dock Gone 1.0 on Monday. Dock Gone is an Preference Pane that forces the Mac OS X Dock to stay hidden until a specific hot key is pressed.

Dock Gone lets users toggle Dock visibility, doesn't require any Terminal commands to use, doesn't lose Dock appearance settings, and can be controlled with keyboard shortcuts or a Menu bar item. It is priced at US$14.95 and is available for download at the Old Jewel Software Web site.

Why?

Just stick with the default Dock and mouse to the bottom of the screen for the Dock to appear…

Could be useful.  Sometimes I shoot past the task bar in VMware and the dock appears when i don’t want it.
