DroboPro FS NAS Offers 16TB Storage

Drobo announced the immediate availability of its new DroboPro FS file storage system on Tuesday. The DroboPro FS offers networked data storage for home and small businesses with up to 16TB of storage with user-replaceable hard drives.

The DroboPro FS lets users add and remove SATA hard drives without shutting down the unit, allowing for failed drive replacements or storage expansion on the fly. It includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, bays for eight SATA hard drives, automated thin provisioning support, network file sharing support, automated backup support with Drobo Sync, the ability to mirror one DroboPro FS to another, support for Apple’s Time Machine feature, and more.

DroboPro FS is priced starting at US$1,999 and tops out at $3,299 with 16TB of storage pre-installed.
