| Product News

Dropbox released Dropbox 1.3 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad on Wednesday. The update for the cloud-based file storage and synchronization app added a new App Directory feature that lists other software titles that take advantage of the service, along with improved support for the iPhone 4.

Version 1.3 added the ability to upload high resolution photos and HD video from the iPhone 4, includes Retina Display support, can complete file uploads in the background, lets users create new folders, caches files so they don’t have to be downloaded again, offers full screen landscape file viewing on the iPad, and more.

Dropbox 1.3 is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
