DTP Tools announced the immediate availability of its Active Tables for InDesign plug-in on Wednesday. The add-on for Adobe’s professional page layout application gives users spreadsheet-like controls for performing calculations in tables.

Active Tables supports 35 functions from Excel, Calc and Numbers, includes a formula builder, lets users create constants and variables that can be used throughout a document, and more.
Active Tables requires InDesign CS3 or higher, and is priced at US$79. It is available for download at the DTP Tools Web site.
