If you really want an iPad right away, but are too lazy or busy to stand in line at the Apple Store, one budding entrepreneur is ready to take on the job for you.
eBay seller jmase7721 is ready to wait in line and buy your band new iPad for you -- assuming you live in New York, New Jersey, or New England -- and waiting in line for up to 72 hours is on the table, too, assuming you have an extra US$500 to drop.
Capitalism and the desire for new products from Apple usually make for some interesting business opportunities, so don't be surprised if more eBay offers like this crop up between now and when the iPad ships in March.

The wife and I getting an iPad is a foregone conclusion, but we will probably order on online. Unless they are handing out t-shirts at the Apple Store on Padderday.
Padderday?
I like it
Sir Harry, you made my day with “Padderday”! Once we know the actual release date that’s how I will name the event in iCal. Thanks! I, too, will think seriously about standing in line on Day One if the first 1000 people in line at each Apple Store get a free iPad t-shirt.
Don’t get me started on pad wordplay! As Hedy (that’s Hedley) Lamarr once said; “My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.”
Hmmm, seeing as the iPad will be introduced in March perhaps they will do on the 17th, the day that honors the most famous Paddy of them all!
Paddy Chayefsky?
Around March is when I get to see my old Irish friend Paddy O’Furniture!
Padderday. Well said Flashman. I guess that would tentatively be “60 days” from January 27, which is March 28th (Sunday) I think, but more likely the adjacent Friday, Saturday or Monday. Whatever the case, it’s now “Padderday.” I’m off to hashtag that.
If I remember correctly such things are usually first on sale on a Friday.
Padderday it is for me as well. I shall be shuttling between 2 paddilines here in sunny Orlando snapping photos and interviewing Padians.
Also, it is near enough to my birthday. You’ll never guess what I’m getting.

Actually my wife wants a 3G iPad so we won’t be getting one on Padderday. Now that doesn’t mean that I won’t be in line to see one that first day.
I thought about it for a bit and decided the 32GB WiFi model was all I needed though I could be talked into the 32GB 3G easy enough. I’m not a fan of paying more for 3G since I’m already paying a premium for my iPhone.
Seems At&T should cut us iPhone users a break, but I guess that’s too much to hope for.
Ahh well, a WiFi iPad and my next gen iPhone is all I need.

My wife has this plan that she will use it for college home work during her commute. I am thinking that it since it can’t be added at a later date I might as well get a 3G model, plus it might add to the resale value. At least there is no contract required for 3G
Yes, the wife and I are already paying for two iPhone data plans even though we share cell call minutes. However, since other 3G services can get into the act we may see more competitive prices.
