Eye-Fi Pro Camera Card Sports RAW, Peer to Peer Support

· by · Product News

Eye-Fi announced the immediate availability of its new Eye-Fi Pro SDHC memory card with Wi-Fi for digital cameras on Wednesday. The new memory card supports RAW image files, peer to peer file sharing, and includes 4GB of storage.

Along with RAW support, the Eye-Fi Pro supports JPEG and video files, Geotagging images, and uploading images and video to more than 25 online photo and video sharing Web sites. The Eye-Fi Pro supports over 10,000 Wayport and open hotspots so users don't have to continually reconfigure the card for multiple Wi-Fi networks.

The card also supports ad-hoc wireless networking so users can download files to their computer when a router isn't available, and selecting specific images and videos to transfer from the Eye-Fi Pro to their computer or Web site.

Eye-Fi also introduced the Eye-Fi Connected program to highlight digital cameras with built-in Eye-Fi feature support.

The Eye-Fi Pro is priced at US$149.
