F1 2009 Leads Even More Pre-Holiday App Store Games

Codemasters’ F1 2009 racing title leads a list of more games to hit the App Store on Friday, including Elite’s retro game Paperboy and others.

F1 2009 ($6.99) features all 10 teams and 20 drivers from the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship, along with all of the cars and all 17 tracks. Players can compete in time trials or in endurance contests of six, nine, or 12 laps, with the ability to share their results online. Racing aids, such as braking assistance and corner indicators, can be turned on or off.

Elite’s Paperboy ($4.99) is a licensed remake of the classic arcade game. Players can choose between a 3D view or a “2.5D” view that mimics the look of the original as they deliver newspapers and avoid hazards along the way.

Other new games at the App Store include the simulation Train Conductor, the physics-based platformer Funkyball Worlds, and Paramount’s Clueless, which is based on the movie starring Alicia Silverstone.
