Along with AirPort Utility for iOS, Apple released its Find My Friends app Wednesday morning ahead of the launch of iOS 5. Find My Friends is a new iOS 5 feature that lets friends and family stay in contact and keep track of each other’s current location.

The app shows your location only to people you have already approved and that are also Find My Friends users, includes privacy controls, offers time-limited location sharing, supports parental restrictions, and more.
Find My Friends is available as a free download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store and requires iOS 5.
