Apple released iMac Hard Drive Firmware Update 1.0 on Monday for the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models that were introduced in mid 2010. The update addressed an issue that was preventing some computers from properly booting.
Firmware update addresses iMac bootup issues
The firmware update requires Mac OS X 10.6.7, and is available via Apple’s Software Update application, and as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site.
