Flipboard Intros “Social Magazine” for iPad

· by · Product News

Flipboard’s self-named app for the iPad hit the App Store shelves on Wednesday introducing what the company is calling a personalized social magazine. Content is displayed in a magazine-style layout, and is personalized based on your category choices.

The app culls news and photos from the Internet along with updates from your Twitter and Facebook accounts. Users can customize what types of news is displayed, and can add their own feeds from Twitter.

Flipboard for the iPad is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.

Looks nice, feels nice but Flipboard has been “over capacity” for the last hour. Sad to see a new app struggle out of the gate!
