Foxconn is planning to spend US$210 million on a new production line for Apple products this fall. The expansion is scheduled for October in the Jiangsu province in China.

China Daily said the facility will be in Huai’an City, will cover about 40,000 square meters, and will include 35,800 new employees.

Foxconn has been an Apple partner for several years and has been responsible for manufacturing products such as the iPhone and iPad for the Cupertino-based company. Foxconn’s factories have often been in the news for poor working condition reports, although the company has been working on improving its factories and has been open to third-party inspections.

Apple and Foxconn recently agreed to share the expense of improving working conditions, although neither company is saying just what those improvements will include.

Foxconn also isn’t saying which Apple products will come off the new Huai’an City production line.
