Abandon Interactive Entertainment on Thursday released Freaky Creatures, an MMO for PC, Mac, and mobile devices. The game comes in a US$19.99 retail package containing two action figures, a 1GB flash drive with the necessary software, one month of gameplay, and a code card that unlocks a variety of in-game materials. Abandon also sells $9.99 expansion packs that each contain an action figure and a code card for unlocking more objects.
Players create creatures out of a variety of parts, with 3.2 billion possible combinations available. They then head online and battle other creatures, build lairs for their creatures, socialize with friends, and more. At the Freaky Creatures web site, they can play mini-games, join tournaments, view leader boards, trade items with other players, read animated comics, and more.
Freaky Creatures costs $6.99 per month to play, with three- and six-month passes available at a reduced monthly rate. The game requires Mac OS X version 10.5.6, an Intel Core Duo processor, 1GB RAM, 1.4GB hard disk space, and an ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300GT or better video card.
