Freeverse Converts Your iPhone Into Eye Glasses

· by · Product News

Freeverse announced Tuesday the release of Eye Glasses, an iPhone app that one can use to see things too small to make out, for instance reading fine print on a prescription bottle or zooming in on a photo. Users can choose between 2x, 4x, 6x, and 8x zoom.

While the software works with any iPhone, it was designed for the iPhone 3GS and its built-in autofocusing camera, and will offer the greatest functionality with that model.

Eye Glasses is priced at US$2.99 on the App Store.

I have a similar app and yes it would probably be best on a 3GS, or a future iPhone, that has auto-focus. What I have is useful on my iPhone 3G, but takes some hand focusing.

Small type at about 6 pts or smaller blurs/pixelates and isn’t very readable. I would say that it is about the same as taking a photo with the iPhone camera and zooming in.
