SAN FRANCISCO -- Freeverse has announced that it will publish Commander: Napoleon at War, the sequel to Commander: Europe at War. Both games were developed by Slitherine. Freeverse did not give out a release date.
Napoleon at War offers similar gameplay as Europe at War: players scan a map from that era, deciding how and when to use their infantry, cavalry and artillery against their opponents. Terrain and weather can hamper their efforts. Players have 12 types of units to choose from, with 15 paths for researching new technologies. Eight historical campaigns cover the years 1805 through 1815, from Napoleon's assault on Austria to his defeat at Waterloo.
