French Web Site Claims Snow Leopard at Golden Master Status

· by · Snow Leopard

French Mac site Mac4Ever reported Wednesday that Snow Leopard has reached Golden Master, or GM status. If true, that means Snow Leopard is ready for release and has been sent to duplication, and that the build number is 10A432.

We should note, however, that the report cites only, "several knowledgeable source," who, "believe that Snow Leopard has finally reached the stage of Golden Master."

So, have a bag of salt on hand when entertaining this story. Snow Leopard's official release date is scheduled to be loosely in September of this year.

Thanks to MacRumors for the heads up.

At this rate, Snow Leopard will be out before AT&T even delivers MMS messaging for the iPhone.

I love the name evolution. They dropped Windows because people kept writing Winblows.
