ActiveTrak announced the immediate availability of GadgetTrak 2.5 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Tuesday. The update for the device tracking app added support for capturing photos from the front and rear facing cameras in the iPhone 4 and iPod touch, and to automatically email those photos to you.

GadgetTrak 2.5 includes the ability to use push notifications to send messages to tracked devices, support for email updates detailing your device’s current location, and the ability to use GPS, Wi-Fi and cell tower triangulation to track locations. As an added security measure, the app can’t be disabled without logging into the trak.me Web site.

GadgetTrak 2.5 is priced at US$0.99 and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store. Photo capture support is available as a $0.99 in-app upgrade.
