Google+ App for iPhone Hits Apple’s App Store

· by · Product News

Google’s new client app for its Google+ social networking service hit Apple’s iTunes-based App Store on Tuesday. The app lets iPhone users access their Google+ accounts, although it’s missing a few features found in the Web-based interface desktop and laptop users can access.

Google+ for the iPhone supports posting and viewing comments, Huddle group messaging, and create Circles for organizing followers. It doesn’t, however, include video chat support.

Google says the Google+ app requires an iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 and iOS 3.1 or newer. The app is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.

Why does this app require an iPhone and not an iPod Touch? It will not install on my 4G version.
