Bryan Chaffin IK Multimedia announced Wednesday that AmpliTube for iPhone is now available. Announced in May, AmpliTube for iPhone turns your iPhone into a guitar amp, complete with pedals. When coupled with AmpliTube iRig, which was announced in May, guitarists and bassists can carry a virtual rig in their pocket.

Until the iRig is out, you can use the included audio samples through the gear - or you can import your own. Simply import a file as you normally would (in this case a dry/direct mono track would be best). Once imported, hold the play button down until the timer turns grey - at that point the track will be routed through the amps/cabs/mics/FX so hit that “loop” button and mess with the settings!
