Book publisher HarperCollins is allegedly negotiating with Apple to provide ebooks for the company's rumored tablet device, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The ebooks HarperCollins offers for Apple's tablet will reportedly offer additional features, although what those features could be wasn't revealed. HarperCollins CEO Brian Murray, however, hinted in December that extra ebook features could include video, author interviews and social networking support.
Apple will be hosting a special media event on Wednesday, January 27, at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The company is expected to introduce its long-rumored tablet device, although so far the only hint that a new device might be on the way comes from the invitation's "Come see our latest creation" line.
