iChat, FlavorSofa Help Consultants Track Billing

The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) on Thursday pointed readers to a blog item posted by Dori Smith, who talks about her use of iChat and a service called FlavorSofa to help her track the billing hours for her Mac consulting business.

She directs clients to set up a FlavorSofa account and then contact her via iChat when they see sheis available. "FlavorSofa handles the billing (by the minute), and Iill periodically get a check."

"Might be a good way to manage an at home Mac-consulting career for any of you industrious techies out there thinking about striking out on your own," wrote TUAW.
