iMac ATI Update Improves Stability

· by · News

Apple released the iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 1.0.1 firmware update for iMacs with either ATI Radeon 2600 Pro or ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics cards late on Monday. According to the slim release notes, the update improves system stability.

The firmware update requires Mac OS X 10.5.2, and like other firmware updates, adds an updater application to the Utilities directory. To complete the update process, users must navigate to Applications/Utilities and launch iMac ATI Radeon HD Graphics Firmware Update.app.

iMac ATI Radeon 2600/2400 1.0.1 is available via the Software Update application, or as a download at the Apple Support Web site.
