iPod shuffle Wait List at Four Weeks

· by · News

Reuters reported Tuesday afternoon that the wait list for Appleis new iPod shuffle has hit four-weeks, and that this is similar to the waiting list Apple experienced when it introduced the iPod mini one year ago.

Confirming with Appleis online Apple Store, the wait time for the US$99 512 megabyte iPod sits at 2-3 weeks, while the estimated shipping time for the as-yet to ship one gigabyte model sits at 3-4 weeks.

Apple has so far seen initial delays for most of its iPod models since their introduction in the Fall of 2001. Apple had inventory of the new iPod shuffle in its brick and mortar retail Apple Stores, but that inventory quickly sold out.

There are additional details in the full Reuters article, which was published by CNN.
