iView Multimedia has released version 3.0.1 of iView MediaPro, its digital asset management software aimed at photographers and other creative professionals. This upgrade features RAW rendering support for Adobe Digital Negative, Minolta, Sony and Olympus for Mac OS X v10.4.2 users, in addition to extended thumbnail and full screen preview support, the ability to watch subfolders of any watched folder and a Make Capture Sets function that automatically groups images based on time intervals between shots.
Other changes include support for XMP sidecar when importing images, new merge modes during metadata synchronization, more options for adjusting the capture dates of images, support for the State field in Place Finder, support for Adobe DNG color space when working with embedded previews and full Adobe Photoshop CS2 compatibility when synchronizing image metadata. A JPEG rotate user interface bug was also corrected.
This upgrade is free for all users of iView MediaPro 3.0. The full software is US$199 and requires Mac OS X v10.2.8, a G3 processor (G4 or G5 recommended), 13MB of free hard drive space for the installation and QuickTime 6.4.
